The Afro-American Flag is vibrantly colored in stripes of gold, black, red and green. Each color has a meaning.

GOLD     is for the richness of the people.
BLACK   is for the people.
RED        is for the blood shed.
GREEN  is for the earth.

It is the strength and love, of one race of people, derived from a source as pure as gold, that has kept alive the belief in one's self to achieve, to overcome and to finally exalt in the revelation that each one of us is one true great human being.

The combination and culmination of all colors, and of all resources, reveals an energy that is beautiful and boundless, free and loving. A whisper in the dark, and a power within emerges to carry the spirit and body through the maze of destiny.

No one knows why there must be blood shed to live in peace and harmony. Certainly many have asked. We still search for the answer.

Let me lay down in green pastures. The beautiful land, without it we surely perish.
